Mr Ulbo Faber and Mr René de Raat
 
Mr Ulbo Faber and Mr René de Raat are the founders of Multum Interest and both have extensive experience in the tender profession. They encountered each other during an assignment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Netherlands.
 
Once it proved to be that they both had nourished the dream to start for themselves in the second half of their career, the match had been rapidly made. They developed a renewing business plan that now is carried out with much passion.

Ulbo’s motto is: Say what you do, do what you promise and don't forget to take the sustainability of your surroundings into account! Others generally characterise him as: analytically strong, reliable, not without humour, geared towards solutions, persuading. His studies consist of a Master’s degree Faculty of Law (Private law), Leiden University. Moreover a Bachelor’s degree Business Administration at Hanze University Groningen.

Ulbo has broad experience with legal advice, as a leader of project teams for the implementation of European invitations to tender and with effective contract management. Constant line in his career is making successful connections between governments and companies and thereby breaking through preconceptions. He has a special interest for sustainability and innovation at SMEs.

René de Raat started his career in the marketing profession. He worked among other others for the Dutch Railways, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Air Traffic Control the Netherlands and management consultancy Promundo. He has got a Bachelor’s degree Commercial Economics and International Management, gained at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Moreover he followed a course on management of people at the Baak.

René has gained broad experience the past 10 years in bringing together of supply and demand in the ICT and facilities services. Firstly in businesses, later at the government. There he has been involved both at operational and at the tactical and strategic purchasing level. This went from initiating, coordinating, directing and implementation of (complex) European (international) invitations to tender, the drawing up from purchase policy to positioning purchase within complex organisations.

As interim manager René puts his personal strength and expertise in to professionalise the processes of organisations. Since 2008 he has also been certified as MSU+ auditor. Because of this he is authorized to carry out MSU+ audits within the whole public sector. René has got a lot of knowledge of the ICT sector.
