European invitations to tender

The market for European invitations to tender amounts to approximately 1800 billion euro annually. In all conceivable lines government institutions need products and services. By means of European, national and internal rules, completed with judicial intervention, these public contracts are granted.
Economically most advantageous tender
Both for the governments and for the entrepreneurs much stands on the game. The public institutions are more and more professionalising in the field of tendering. It less and less only concerns the lowest price. Most used is the criterion of the economically most advantageous tender. Attention is given to quality, innovation, integrity , creativity and service of the tenders. Also a term as sustainability is of increasing importance.
SMEs
Much-mentioned disadvantage of European invitations to tender is that the SMEs are taken into consideration insufficiently. This is one of the head reasons why Mr. Ulbo Faber and René the Raat have decided to start their own company, Multum Interest. The new tender law promises to approach this SME problem. Besides this Multum Interest sees a lot of chances for governments and companies to profit from each other in this continuously expanding market of tenders. By more than 10 years experience with hundreds of tenders Mr. Faber and Mr. De Raat are able to make the difference with Multum Interest in concrete tenders for both innovating governments as SMEs. Multum Interest means literally: there is a large difference.
Tender management
Governments have themselves frequently advised by specialised offices because the interests and risks of an invitation to tender can be substantial. The legitimacy of an invitation to tender is condicio sine qua non or a precondition. Moreover it is essential to discover the right knowledge from within the own organization and to complete this with the most recent insights. It is striking that many companies think they can find the solutions in submitting tenders all on their own. In that respect they walk behind the government institutions. To the larger companies this applies less, since they already frequently have professional tender desks which take part structured in invitations to tender. For the SMEs still most happens on ad hoc basis only. Multum Interest fills this lacuna with its service tender management.
