Innovative European tendering

The target group of Multum interest for our strategic service  in the field of innovative European tendering are the administrations of public organisations which are open to strategically rearranging their tender process in an innovative manner.  Multum Interest always starts with an initial interview to get the questions crystal clear by listening well and ask in depth questions.
Then we work out a general commitment that is shared by the administration. For example: By implementing this policy we intend to procure our products and services in a way that we have an ongoing, measurable progress in our sustainability performance by means of reducing our ecological impact whilst maintaining the company’s economic viability.
Afterwards we make this general commitment more specific by formulating objective aims and concrete product objectives. For example: The organisation aims to introduce Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria in 75% of its procurement practices in 2010.

The next step is to indicate how the organisation will implement this strategy. For example: technical criteria will be developed to be used in invitations to tender documents.

After this we outline how the strategy should be communicated within the organisation, the supply chain and customers. Examples:

  • The organisation provides supporting directives and material to facilitate an effective implementation of the strategy;
  • The organisation supplies trainings and resources to administration and staff to increase the conscience of sustainability;
  • The organisation guarantees that effective information sharing takes place between the central purchase organisation and the individual departments;
  • The organisation cooperates with suppliers and contracted service providers to help improve their durable performance and to increase sustainability in the supply chain;
  • Promote the strategy at other organisations and in society by several actions (e.g. leaflets, internet site).
Finally we stipulate how the implementation of the strategy shall be monitored and how this can be improved. For example: management reviews are held one time per year to measure the results and to adjust the strategy, to set new and stricter goals wherever possible and to bring reached goals in the spot light.
